LINDA MARKS MAKES HER MARK ON THE WORLD WITH ENCOURAGING IMPACTFUL MUSIC

Linda Marks has been singing as long as she can remember, starting by singing around the house as a young child. “ Music was my first language,” she said, adding she didn’t talk until she was 3 but was drawn to pianos and sang every opportunity she could in spite of her father’s belief that music was not a good career choice. She sang through her school years, even writing her 8th Grade class song.
The multi-genre artist hails from Massachussetts where her music took a hackseat for awhie to raise her son as a single mother. “I find my home in the folk or alternative folk world because I write lots of social impact songs,” she said. “But my songs include country, pop, gospel/inspirational, folk rock, Americana and more.”
Ironically, her paternal grandmother was an opera singer but her father believed a career in music was a waste of the mind.
